Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer
Design and develop software for medical imaging products using OOD and software development best practices. Responsibilities include user interface design, algorithm design, architecture design, remote device control, software module integration, refactoring of legacy software, testing, and debugging. Experience with medical imaging, FDA design guidelines, and quality systems is a plus, but is not required.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in computer science, or related discipline, with at least 2 years experience in Visual C++, MFC, .net, Win Forms, Win32, Visual Studio V6 and up, including V9
- Windows OS, multi-threaded design
- Fluent in OOD principles and industry standard best practices
- Seapine Surround SCM or other popular source control system
- Seapine TestTrack or other popular defect tracker
- Expert ability to work in legacy code
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with Fluency in English
- Be able to work in a professional team environment
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Fast learner with a strong work ethic and high initiative
- Some occasional travel to support engineering beta software in the field
- Occasional training of sales and field service on new products
Desired:
- DirectX/DirectShow, image processing, 3-D modeling, VTK, ITK, COM, ActiveX, Boost, STL, IPP
- SQL, ODBC, C#, Web Services, ASP, LINQ
- UML and other formal documentation methods
- DICOM experience, DCMTK
- Medical industry and FDA quality systems experience a big plus
